Kids, decorate your wagons, doll carriages for the parade!
The Annual Wagon and Doll Carriage Parade will be back at this year’s Founders Day!
To all kids! This is your chance to become part of a beloved tradition that has been going on for years in Foxboro. This year’s theme is “Farms and Flowers of Foxborough.”
And it is time for kids to dust off and decorate their wagons, doll carriages, toy strollers and toy tractors.
The Founder’s Day Committee is happy to announce it will once again be hosting the Annual Wagon and Doll Carriage Parade. They invite all children and grandchildren, ages 3-9, out there to join in the fun showing off their creations on wheels.
According to Wagon and Doll Carriage Parade Chair Krystn Gustafson, “All entries must be made by the children, but a little help from Mom and Dad is okay.”
Wagons and doll carriages will be judged in four categories in three age groups. The categories are theme, creativity, presentation and originality. The age groups are 3-5 year-olds, 6-7 year-olds and 8-9 year-olds. Prize ribbons will be awarded for First Place, Second Place and Honorable Mention. There may be a surprise judge or two!
The Wagon and Doll Carriage Parade will be held at the Booth Playground inside the tennis courts. Registration is on Saturday at noon and the Wagon and Doll Carriage Parade will begin at 1 p.m. In case of rain, the Wagon and Doll Carriage Parade will be moved inside the Foxboro Cable Access studio on Central Street.
